Wilf Lloyd Describes Grizzly Bear Attack

Wilf Lloyd, 56 years old was attacked last month by a grizzly bear. After he was attacked he was accidentally shot by his hunting partner. Fortunately reports say that he is recovering well. Will Lloyd, a taxidermist from Cranbrook, B.C. was on an elk hunting trip, with his son-in-law Skeet Podrasky, when a bear came out of a bush. Wilf described the attack as very sudden, and abrupt. He said that within seconds the bear was on top of him hitting his chest. Wilf says he attempted to shove his arm in the bears mouth, and as the bear started to bite down, Skeet shot him. The bear relented a bit but was not dead. Wilf was flailing his legs around trying to kick the bear off of him, and in the struggle was accidentally shot by Podrasky.

The good news from all of this is that Wilf is recovering quickly and has forgiven Podrasky. This story should really serve as a warning to campers, hunters, or just people going on a hike, that bear attacks do happen and you should always be prepared.
